📋 Materials Needed

  • Oven: Suitable Silicone Clamp or Heat Shrink
  • Mug or Tumbler Press: Suitable Heating Element

📝 Preparation

  1. For templates, mock-ups and image size requirements, please refer to the Design tab.
  2. Print your design and mirror your image.
  3. Clean the substrate printing surface using a microfibre cloth or lint brush to remove dust, oils or lint.
  4. Place the printed image face up and align the substrate to the centre of the print.
  5. Secure the edges using heat-resistant tape to prevent movement.

🛠️ Mug/Tumbler Heat Press Pressing

  1. If this is your first press of this size substrate or you have changed inserts, complete a pressure pre-check before heating.
  2. Heat the press to the required temperature.
  3. Position the substrate inside the element.
  4. Press at the listed heat press settings.
  5. Rotation is not normally required for this item.
  6. Remove carefully from the press after the timer has finished. The item will be extremely hot.

🛠️ Oven/Air Fryer Baking

  1. Heat the oven to the required temperature.
  2. Apply heat shrink, heat tape or a suitable silicone clamp.
  3. Place the substrate inside the oven.
  4. Bake at the listed heat settings.
  5. Rotation is not normally required for this item.
  6. Remove carefully from the oven after the timer has finished. The item will be extremely hot.

❄️ Cooling and Assembly

  1. Carefully remove the substrate from the press. It will be hot.
  2. Peel off the sublimation paper while the substrate is warm for best results.
  3. Allow the substrate to cool completely.
  4. Attach or reassemble any internal mechanisms, lids or parts if applicable.

✅ Tips for Best Results

  • During extreme cold weather press for a while longer. (+- 10 Percent of total time)
  • Print your prints using our templates which have a black border which you cut slightly inside and this will produce consistent alignment of imagery on large runs.
  • Wait for the substrate to reach room temperature before placing in plastic bag and packing into packaging.

    I purchased these mugs recently and I have to say they are the nicest looking mugs I have ever used. I particularly like the curve at the base of the mug; it makes it look like a high-end product, compared to the standard square base mugs. Once sublimated, the mugs are vibrant and glossy.
