♨️ How to sublimate 20oz Tumbler Tapered Gloss Stainless Steel Sublimation Blank

📋 Materials Needed

Sublimation printer and sublimation ink
Sublimation paper
Heat-resistant tape
Sublimation Oven/Air Fryer
20oz Tumbler Tapered (Substrate)
Oven: Heat Shrink
Heat gun or hair dryer if using heat shrink

🔥 Oven/Air Fryer Heat Settings

Temperature Min:	180°C
Temperature Max:	200°C
Time Min:	360 Seconds
Time Max:	480 Seconds
Pressure:	Heat Shrink

📝 Preparation

For templates, mock-ups and image size requirements, please refer to the Design tab.
Print your design and mirror your image.
Clean the substrate printing surface using a microfibre cloth or lint brush to remove dust, oils or lint.
Place the printed image face up and align the substrate to the centre of the print.
Secure the edges using heat-resistant tape to prevent movement.

🛠️ Oven/Air Fryer Baking

Heat the oven to the required temperature.
Apply heat shrink, heat tape or a suitable silicone clamp.
Place the substrate inside the oven.
Bake at the listed heat settings.
In some air fryers, you may need to rotate halfway through baking due to insufficient air flow.
Remove carefully from the oven after the timer has finished. The item will be extremely hot.

❄️ Cooling and Assembly

Carefully remove the substrate from the press (it will be hot).
Peel off the sublimation paper while the substrate is warm for best results.
Allow the substrate to cool completely.
Remove adhesive cover from tumbler base and apply to the centre of the substrate. (If applicable)
Attach lid.
Wrap in protective plastic cover and place into packaging.

✅ Tips for Best Results

Ensure full edge-to-edge coverage in your design to avoid white borders (ensure bleed is sufficient).
If colours look dull, increase time by 5 seconds or pressure slightly.
If the coating looks yellowed, your temperature is too high or time too long.
Store substrate in a clean, dry, dust-free area before printing.
Screw lid on and pay attention the where the straw will be located, align the main focus point of the print to the this area.
When taping the seam, tape with high pressure applied to the print ensuring tightness.
Do not press with lid or base attached.
Trim heat shrink to not have too much excess overhanging, it is hard to remove.
