Print Geek Equipment Warranty
Australian Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Introduction
This Warranty applies to non-printer machinery and equipment supplied by Print Geek, including (but not limited to):
- heat presses
- cutters
- ovens
- finishing equipment
- related machinery
This Warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Scope of Warranty
We provide a 12-month warranty on eligible machinery, subject to:
- correct installation and setup
- proper operation and use
- adherence to maintenance requirements
- use within intended applications
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Warranty Coverage
Where a defect is identified within the warranty period, we may:
- supply replacement parts
- repair the equipment
- provide an equivalent remedy
In many cases, replacement parts will be supplied where appropriate.
We may require:
- photo or video evidence
- return of defective parts
- inspection prior to approval
Consumables & Wear Items
The following are considered consumables or wear items and are not covered under warranty:
- belts
- silicone components
- heating elements
- fuses
- seals
- moving parts subject to wear
- any component subject to normal operational degradation
Warranty Conditions
Any warranty provided is strictly conditional on:
- correct installation and setup
- proper use of the equipment
- regular maintenance being performed
- operation within recommended conditions
- no unauthorised modification or alteration
Failure to meet these conditions may void warranty.
Exclusions
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this Warranty does not cover:
- misuse or incorrect operation
- lack of maintenance
- improper setup or installation
- environmental damage (heat, moisture, dust, power issues)
- accidental damage
- neglect or abuse
- unauthorised repairs or modifications
- use outside intended purpose
- use outside Australia or with non-AU power systems
- damage occurring during customer transport after delivery
Shipping & Damage Claims
Any damage in transit must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and supported by photographic evidence.
Warranty Claims Process
To initiate a claim, you must:
- contact us via our website or support channels
- provide proof of purchase
- provide a description of the issue
- provide photo and/or video evidence
We may require the return of parts or the full unit for assessment.
Repairs & Service
Where a product requires service:
- the customer is responsible for return shipping
- the product must be properly packaged
- shipping costs may apply unless required otherwise under Australian Consumer Law
Local repair services may be available depending on location.
Returns (Non-Warranty)
All returns must be pre-approved.
Returns must:
- be initiated within 15 days of delivery
- be in new, unused, resellable condition
- include all original packaging and components
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee (up to 15%).
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- liability is limited to repair, replacement, or cost thereof
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
- we are not liable for loss of business, production, or income
Nothing in this policy excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
