Production & Delivery Times

Production, dispatch and delivery timeframes

Find information about Print Geek order processing, production times, dispatch estimates, print service timing, bulky-item handling, supplier-direct orders and delivery expectations.

Timeframes are estimates

We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible, but production and delivery timeframes can vary depending on stock, product type, order size, workload, suppliers and freight providers.

Quick overview

How order timing works

Different product types have different handling, production and dispatch requirements.

Stock Items

Standard product orders

Where products are in stock and ready to ship, we aim to dispatch as quickly as practical during business days.

Print Services

Made-to-order printing

Print services require production time and may be affected by artwork quality, file setup, queue volume and equipment availability.

Equipment

Printers and bulky items

Printers, heat presses, ovens and machinery may require special handling, freight booking, supplier confirmation or additional packing time.

Delivery

Carrier timeframes

Delivery timeframes depend on destination, carrier, service type, freight conditions and whether the order is travelling to metro, regional or remote areas.

Order processing

Processing starts after payment and order confirmation

Orders are processed after payment has been received and the order has been accepted. Processing generally occurs on business days, excluding weekends, public holidays and closure periods.

If we need to confirm stock, check details, review an address, clarify a print file, confirm freight, or contact a supplier, this may affect the processing time.

Check your details before ordering

Incorrect delivery details, missing information, unclear files or product compatibility questions can delay order processing.

Production & Delivery Times

1. General Order Processing

Print Geek aims to process orders as efficiently as possible. Processing time can vary depending on product type, stock availability, payment confirmation, order size, freight requirements and whether additional customer information is required.

Orders placed outside business hours, on weekends, during public holidays or during closure periods are generally processed on the next available business day.

2. Same-Day Dispatch Where Possible

Where items are in stock, payment is confirmed and the order does not require special handling, we aim to dispatch orders as quickly as practical. Some orders may be dispatched on the same business day where possible.

Same-day dispatch is not guaranteed and may be affected by order volume, stock location, carrier collection times, product type, freight requirements, peak periods or operational delays.

3. Business Days

Production, processing and dispatch timeframes are generally based on business days. Business days do not include weekends, public holidays, supplier closure periods, courier closure periods or any advertised Print Geek closure dates.

Orders placed late in the day may not begin processing until the next business day.

4. Stock Availability

Stock availability can change quickly. Products shown online may be available, low in stock, awaiting replenishment, backordered, supplier-direct, special order or discontinued.

If an item is unavailable after an order is placed, we may contact you to discuss options such as waiting for stock, changing the product, splitting the order, offering an alternative or cancelling/refunding the affected item.

5. Print Service Production Times

Print services, gang sheets, transfers, custom print work and other made-to-order services require production time. Timeframes may vary depending on file quality, artwork setup, production queue, order size, material availability and equipment status.

Customer-supplied artwork must be supplied correctly. Artwork issues, low resolution files, incorrect sizing, transparency issues, missing information, unclear instructions or customer approval delays may increase production time.

6. Artwork and File Issues

For print services, production timing may be delayed where artwork is not suitable, files are missing, instructions are unclear, or further information is required.

Customers are responsible for checking artwork, spelling, sizing, resolution, format, mirroring, bleed, transparency, background and colour expectations before submitting files.

7. Printers, Machinery and Bulky Items

Printers, heat presses, ovens, shakers, cutters, machinery and bulky equipment may require additional handling time. These items may need freight quotes, palletisation, supplier confirmation, special packaging, direct dispatch or courier/freight bookings.

Bulky equipment may not dispatch as quickly as standard parcel items and may be subject to freight-provider availability.

8. Supplier-Direct and Special Order Items

Some products may ship directly from suppliers, manufacturers, distributors or third-party fulfilment partners. In these cases, production, handling and dispatch timeframes may depend on the supplier or third party involved.

Where required to complete an order, relevant customer, product and delivery information may be provided to suppliers or third parties in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Partial Shipments

Where an order contains multiple items, some items may be ready before others. We may choose to hold an order until all items are ready or split the shipment where practical.

Additional freight charges may apply if a customer requests split shipping or special dispatch arrangements.

10. Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes begin after dispatch, not when the order is placed. Delivery timing depends on the carrier, service type, destination, freight network, parcel size, item weight and whether the location is metro, regional, remote or difficult to access.

For delivery and tracking details, please refer to our Shipping & Tracking page.

11. Timeframes Are Estimates Only

All production, dispatch and delivery timeframes are estimates only unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Estimated timeframes do not create a guarantee that an order will be produced, dispatched or delivered by a specific date. Delays do not automatically entitle customers to refunds, discounts or compensation.

12. Peak Periods and Delays

Processing and delivery may take longer during sales events, peak periods, product launches, public holidays, supplier closures, courier delays, weather events, equipment maintenance, stock shortages or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We recommend ordering early if you need products or print services by a particular date.

13. Customer-Caused Delays

Orders may be delayed where customer action is required. This may include:

  • incorrect or incomplete delivery details
  • payment issues
  • missing artwork or unsuitable files
  • unanswered support questions
  • product compatibility checks
  • freight confirmation
  • address verification
  • custom order details

If we contact you for more information, processing may pause until we receive the required response.

14. Tracking Information

Where tracking is available, tracking details are generally sent to the email address used at checkout after dispatch.

Tracking updates are controlled by the carrier and may not appear immediately. If tracking has not updated, please allow reasonable time for the freight provider to scan and update the shipment.

15. Urgent Orders

If an order is urgent, contact Print Geek before ordering. We can advise whether the product is likely to be suitable for your timeframe, but urgent deadlines cannot always be guaranteed.

Placing a note in the checkout comments does not guarantee priority production, dispatch or delivery.

16. Authority to Leave and Delivery Instructions

Any delivery instructions or Authority to Leave requests may affect how a parcel is delivered. Carriers may not always follow special instructions, and some delivery options may not be available for all services.

For more details, refer to our Shipping & Tracking page.

17. No Compensation for Reasonable Delays

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Print Geek is not liable for indirect, consequential or business losses caused by production delays, dispatch delays or carrier delays.

This includes loss of income, lost profit, missed deadlines, business interruption, wasted materials, production downtime or customer project delays.

18. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product or service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with the law.
