Usage

A pressing pillow is your secret weapon for flawless results on uneven substrates like hoodies, kids' t-shirts, or slates and tiles at Print Geek Australia—eliminate ghosting, distortion, and poor adhesion by filling gaps for even pressure and heat distribution. Place the pressing pillow (sized to match or slightly smaller than your design area) inside pockets, under seams, or directly beneath the transfer paper on the lower platen; for example, slide it into hoodie pockets before positioning your printed sublimation paper face-down, secure with heat-resistant tape, cover with butcher paper or Teflon sheet, and press at recommended settings (e.g., 180-200°C for 40-60 seconds, medium-firm pressure). Pre-press empty for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles, then perform the main press—always test on scraps first to dial in time/pressure, avoiding over-compression that could push ink through fabric. Shop our high-quality pressing pillows and sublimation blanks at printgeek.com.au for pro-level results every time.
